Find Your Purpose on the Mat

What do you want to get out of your yoga practice?

What is your “why”?

Maybe you want to feel more fl exible, build strength, create mobility, calm your mind, or simply bring joy into your body. Maybe it’s about being part of a community, moving together in fl ow, and sharing energy with others. The possibilities with yoga are endless.

As I approach 50, I’ve realized how important it is to train smart. I can’t train like I did at 25 — and why would I? I train to feel stronger, more mobile, healthy, and vital. This means being intentional about how I move my body.

Sometimes we fall into habits: only Ashtanga, only Hot Yoga, only restorative, only the gym, only CrossFit, only martial arts. Focusing on just one type of training can make us prone to injury and limit the full potential of what our bodies can do. There is a real power in variety, in moving in different ways to challenge, balance, and support the body.

This is exactly why I've created a variety of classes:

Every week, you can move your body in many ways — sweat, stretch, strengthen, flow, and recover. That’s the beauty of training your body intelligently, with variety, and with intention.

Fuel Your Body - Recover Stronger

Training is only half the story. What you eat after your workout can make all the difference. Especially as we get older, your muscles, metabolism, and energy levels rely on the right nutrients to recover and grow stronger.

Research shows that post workout nutrition is crucial for building strength, maintaining muscle, and supporting metabolism. Protein helps repair and grow muscles, carbohydrates replenish energy stores, and healthy fats support hormones and recovery. Skipping this window doesn’t help you burn more fat, in fact, eating enough can boost fat metabolism and support weight management. Starving your body slows metabolism, reduces energy, and makes it harder to achieve the results you want.
